Mancala Touch is a mobile version of the traditional African board game (long-time Nokia users may remember this game embedded in their phones under the name Bantumi).

How To Get It:

You can download Mancala Touch from Ovi Store by selecting your phone's Ovi Store icon, or by going to store.ovi.mobi on your phone's web browser.

Alternatively you can go to store.ovi.com on your computer's browser.

If you can't see the game displayed on Ovi Store, it probably isn't compatible with your phone model.

For more info about using Ovi Store, see our Unofficial Ovi Store FAQ page.

Ovi Gaming Review:

Phone Used For Review - Nokia N97 (game may be different on different phone models)

Gameplay - Mancala is a traditional African board game where you have to collect stones in the large bowl to your right, while moving them through many smaller bowls. See this page for more details including regional rule variations. Unfortunately the developers neglected to include a help section in their version of Mancala, and anyone new to the game will be completely baffled by this. Even if you do learn the basic rules of Mancala from other sources, there is apparently an Egyptian rule variation active in this version which they don't tell you about either.

Graphics & Sound - The board looks fine, but it's nothing special. There's no sound at all.

Multiplayer & Online - None.

Overall - Mancala is extremely popular in some parts of the world, but not everywhere. This reviewer didn't know the game that well, and the total lack of built-in help in these circumstances is just silly. To make matters worse, the AI in one-player mode is fairly easy to beat once you have worked out a particular strategy, which just leaves the two-player mode.

Ovi Gaming Score - 40%
