Ovi Gaming Review:

Phone Used For Review - Nokia N97 (games may be different on different phone models)

Gameplay - Monopoly Deal is a card-based version of the famous board game. Instead of moving pieces round a board, you get cards from a pack and attempt to be the first person to collect three complete sets of properties. You can also earn money along the way, and there are lots of bonus cards which do various things such as putting houses on your property cards, taxing other players, or stealing one of their properties.

Graphics - A fairly competently illustrated card game, but nothing spectacular. The cards are clearly drawn and if necessary you can see them more closely by selecting them. Some of the fonts used are a bit small on the N97 though (and must be even more difficult to read on the 5800 and 5530). The touchscreen version of this game occasionally has poorly-designed buttons which sometimes aren't easy to select.

Sound - There's fairly nice title music and the odd sound effect during the game, but most of the time the game is silent.

Multiplayer & Online - None.

Overall - In general Monopoly Deal captures the spirit of the board game fairly well, as it still involves building up a property portfolio with which to clobber the other players. However, the main aim of the game (the first to get three complete sets) means that the game sometimes ends a bit too abruptly, especially as some special cards allow players to steal entire sets in one go.

Score - 65%
