Can I use memory cards of over 8GB in my S60 phone?

Q. Can I use memory cards of over 8GB in my S60 phone?

A. Yes, in principle, though it will depend on the device and the firmware installed. Earlier S60 devices were limited to 2GB, but SDHC (High Capacity) support is built into the latest devices and also for those from a year or two ago via firmware updates. For example, the N95, N82 and E90 are now all SDHC ready, as are all newer devices, so you should be able to (eventually) ramp up all of these to 32GB.

However the higher capacity cards (16 GB, 32GB) may not work reliably on some devices and others need to be running recent firmware (e.g. N95). All newer devices should support 16GB by default.
