Q. How do I add my Inbox to the Nokia E61's active standby screen?

A. This functionality is somewhat hidden away and is currently limited. But if you go into Messaging and then 'Settings | Other | Active standby mode' you'll see that you can select either 'Inbox' (e.g. your texts and MMS) or one of your email mailboxes.

Once selected, you'll see a new Messaging section on your active standby screen, with the top-most two messages in your chosen mailbox. Unfortunately there's not (currently) any way of changing this number.
