Unable to log into Ovi store

For the last couple of weeks i've been having trouble logging into Ovi store on my N8.
I have the latest version installed 2.8.42. I can load up Ovi but not sign in, there is constantly a network problem it says.
Password is fine, i can log in over a PC fine and send download links to N8.

Has anyone had the same thing, if so how did you get around it?

Happened a few times to me... restarting the phone normally solves it...

Sometimes it works and others not.
I often go a couple or a few days without being able to use OVI.

Is it possible to download apps to a PC and install them over Ovi Suite?

Yes, the site has changed a bit but the URI workaround still works
