Does anybody know why Ted Talks videos do not play on the N8?
I get audio but no video.
The original downloads are H264 in an mp4 wrapper, I expected this to be playable on the N8.
Video:H264, 512x288, 25fps, 450kbps
Audio: AAC 1 channel, 44kHz

I have absolutely the same problem. Tried both HD and normal video and they do not work (audio plays only). Obviously something was changed in the encoding of the files because before I was able to watch the HD videos without any problems.
After checking the properties of the video files against for example the HD versions of CNET podcasts, I found that the TED videos now use 8 ReFrames agains 1 for CNET podcasts. I suspect that the hardware acceleration of N8 does not work with 9 ReFrames (at least in the current version of the firmware).
EDIT. Ok, I found information that N8 supports up to 4 or 5 ReFrames (reference frames) if CABAC is turned on. The TED videos use 8 ReFreames so that is why they are not playable. The only solution is to hope for firmware update but I am not too hopeful as this may be a hardware restriction that can not be fixed with firmware update.
