Handwriting Recognition - Delete key

OK, so I got my phone yesterday and the handwriting recognition is quite well incorporated in the use of the P800 right across the O/S. I find it faster to write than type as the keyboard is so small.

But... while I've figured out how to do just about all the extra symbols, carriage return, backspace, tab etc (see Handwriting Recognition from the inbuilt Help facility) I fear there is no way to do a simple 'Delete' ie forwards, not backwards.

Am I right? If so, this simple addition would be incredibly useful and appreciated. Similarly, a 'Select All' function in with the Cut, Copy and Paste would be nice.

No "forward" delete key available. Long press on the left of the word/sentence then drag to the entire word/sentence to be able to select the entire word/sentence then go to edit where you can cut/copy then paste.

For the other Characters jsut do an upstroke "|" then the character like "#" or ":" etc..

You can use the same function to delete forward. Just highlight the word and the delete it

True, but you can also do this to delete backwards, but I'm sure you would just use the Backspace key in preference (provided you weren't deleting too much). I would really like a delete forward key like normal keyboards.
