edit: found what Im looking for - Symbian PDK 3.0.0 (need to download it now from somewhere)
Does a symbian emulator for windows exist and where can I get one?
symbian s60 or symbian 3 emulator for windows.
I found and downloaded "s60 3rd edition SDK"
but it doesnt emulate symbian os (it seems to emulate Series 40 3rd)
S60 3rd Edition is on top of Symbian OS v9.1.
However, there is no Symbian emulator for Windows, that can run Symbian installation packages intended for running on the phone.
The emulators in the Symbian SDKs (be it S60 or Symbian^3) run only apps specifically compiled for the emulator.
The Symbian PDKs are no longer available (and doesn't have any better emulator than the SDKs), but you can get the full Symbian^3 source code via http://symbian.nokia.com/ or an year-old (almost) snapshot from http://sourceforge.net/projects/symbiandump/
