E5-00 need help with exchange

Hello all

I'm trying to setup my new Nokia E5-00 to use my companies microsoft exchange email. It was explained to me that it would work just like the windows based HTC snap that I had previously.

I've followed the email setup by entering my email address, password and choosing 'Mail for Exchange'. The phone connects and then tells me the site certificate has a different name. I tell it to 'accept this time only'. I then enter my user name and domain on the next screen. On the screen after that I choose what to sync - calendar, contacts and to-do notes. I then tell it to keep synced data on phone and it creates the mailbox.

After that I attempt to send an email. The exchange server appears to be contacts because a 'mail for exchange updating' message appears when i choose send and receive. The same message appears when I choose synchronize. I know it's connecting to the internet because I'm able to access sites through the browser.

The mail I send sits in the outbox and never goes anywhere.
Messages sent to my email are not received and contacts are not synced from the server.

If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

In summary:

  • Exchange email isn't working - can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
  • I'm depending on the phone to sync contacts from the exchange server to fill up my contact list - why isn't this happening?

Thank you
Greg
