Hi there - I'm trying to set up my WAP on O2 (service provider is Singlepoint if that makes any difference). GPRS works ok and I think MMS does but GSM WAP keeps giving me an "Internet: Unable to Connect. Check connection settings" warning when i try to dial. The settings I've got for the WAP access point etc are:
Connection Name: O2 WAP
Data Bearer: GSM Data
Dial-up Number: +447712927927
User name: o2wap
Prompt Password: No
Password: password
Authentication: Normal
Gateway IP address: 193.113.200.195
Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk
Data Call Type: ISDN v.110
Maximum Data Speed: 9600
Connection Security: Off
Session Mode: Permanent
Anyone got any ideas why it's not working?
Cheers,
Nic
everything looks good except for your data call type, i'm using analog and it works perfect, try that
Nope, tried analogue and both isdn types, still no joy...my girlfriend's is exactly the same 😞
Works fine on my phone... you could try putting in 915000 as the dial up number.
If you go to the nokia site here:
http://www.nokia-academy.co.uk/ota/online/wap/
They will send you the correct setting to your phone.
I just went their and the setting were slightly different to yours..
user/pass & url looks different.
Best

Thanks for the help guys - eventually found that Singlepoint had only GPRS-enabled my sim instead of GPRS and GSM like I'd asked! Works fine now.
Cheers,
Nic
