Almost everytime i press the menu button, then press 'applications', the phone will freeze for about 60-90secs, even the phone lock switch is dead.
I also have a shortcut to 'applications' on one of the home screens too and the same thing happens.
Anyone got any ideas? Its driving me nuts. I have the latest Anna installed.
Do you have lots of application shortcuts in you Application folder? I store my application shortcuts in several different folders, and notice that the more of them there are in any 1 folder the longer it takes to open it.
I don't think i have that many apps compared to my Android phone. Anyway, i have moved a few to the 'tools' folder. So far, no freezes for the time being. Guess it is a limitation by the OS. Thanks!
'Manage Applications' takes a while to load. But it does it and the phone is still usuable. whereas in my case with the N8, the phone freezes and you either have to wait or restart it. you wouldn't get this from pressing the Apps drawer button on Android.
its still playing up. last night i chose the music app and it froze for about 90 secs. all buttons were useless.
The Biggest mistake of my life was buying Nokia N 8. It has not worked properly for a single one hour...It keeps restarting on its own. It has taken away all my happiness of buying this costly phone. And the most disgusting and frustrating part was visiting all the Nokia care centres, with no success, they are not even aware of how to repair this phone. Now nearly after a year they are saying I need to spend INR 8000.00 to repair this , without a guarantee whether it shall be successfully done or not.....
I wonder how do i get my message to Nokia Head Quarters to be able to relieve me of this costly mistake.
