Nokia apps QC - what the hell happened!

I purchased Fmobi as it was the only app close enough to the Android version. The recent update was nice....BUT it would drain your RAM and on my Ram Info app, i could watch in disbelief as your Ram would just diminish after you closed the fmobi app.

It was like a virus killing the phone.

Being both an Android and Symbian Anna user, i was shocked. We always hear how 'insecure' the open app environment is on the Android, but i have never experienced anything like this.

Luckily Fmobi quickly released another update to correct the problem and my phone has gone back to around 55-60% of Ram used.

I thought developers had their apps test by nokia QC before they are allowed to release it (like Apple). So what happened here? If it was a malicious developer, we could have gotten some serious problems.
