i live in germany. in germany only e-plus have i-mode. u must aktivate it. but they say nothing about it.
so i cant test it. i only use prepaid systems. u pay 10.- and then u can call. i think the uks call them pay as u go

Go on then - I'll show my iggnorance, what the fu#k is I-Mode?????
😊
hi,
ur right. i have found it on www.connect.de. its a "handy" newspaper.
they wrote it that e-plus will released it.
i-mode is a service from japan. like wap. but its better. its colored. its a style of html. its cheaper than wap. u can get emails to 1000 signs on ur mobilephone. it tolds u that u get an email or something like that.
simply. its bedder than wap and faster than normal inet 4 the phone.
cya amigappc
is it better than gprs??? :-? :-?
hi,
it use gprs.
cya amigappc
Yes, GPRS is a way of transferring data to and from the phone, it has basically nothing to do with how that data is used. GPRS can be used by Email clients, WAP browsers, I-mode browsers, Web browsers, etc etc. An "ordinary" GSM data call can also be used to all this, but it requeries that a (data) call is done everytime you want to connect to the Internet. GPRS is like having a dedicated connection to the Internet from your computer, while a GSM data call is like having to use a dial-up connection via modem. (Like I have to at home... )
The 3650 also cantains an xHTML browser as it is WAP 2.0 compatbile. xHTML is like I-mode used to create coloured better looking pages than the older WML pages could. The only thing missing right now is xHTML sites that really uses the capabilties of xHTML to make good looking pages 😉
What's i-mode?
NTT DoCoMo's site that tells you what i-mode is: http://www.nttdocomo.com/i-mode/introducing/index.html

Lars. Do a search on the internet on what wap/i-mode is or read the link mentioned above, where it explains what i-mode is..
Agile and im+ have NOTHING to do with i-mode.. They use the gprs connection all of them yes.. but apart from that are not connected.. If you cannot use agile or im+ you might not have subscribed to internet GRPS at your phone company.. try and search their website or call the support.. they can answer you, if you are unsure..
Yes it has, been using it since i got my 3650 last feb.Try my site,http://juanel.mywap2.o2.co.uk and click on SPORTS,then TENNIS.
