Nokia 5230 total backup

1 replies · 9,772 views · Started 25 December 2011

This thread included a poll: How many are gaving problems iSync'g data with older Mac Tiger.

Systems:
Nokia 5230 Nuron, Symbian S60 5th Gen.,
Bluetooth >iSync'd with Power Mac G4, OS 10.4.11

It's tedious but it appears I should be able to back-up most of the info. and data in my Nokia 5230. Any tips that can help this Novice more quickly understand how to do the data transfers (pics & videos) quickly, routinely would be appreciated.

My questions are basically a paraphrasing a question/answer published post on AllAboutSymbians.com: Ques. by S. Litchfield, Aug. 25, 2010. My New Query is how do you do what the answer advises given the above System/s involved?

How do I back-up The Apps and Licenses? Might like & want to keep some of them when I upgrade to another phone a year from now.

How do I back-up/make copies of "files buried in the operating system folders (such as native C++ Symbian applications) on disk C: and some license keys and assignments" and keep "these in a folder on my desktop" or, hopefully on a USB stick?

DPT

try installing mobi explorer or xplore
Then install rompatcher, use the open4all patch
Then select all the files in c: using xplore.
Copy to a new folder in E and backup it to your computer!
