C|Net's been running a fun little tournament for cell phones (smart phones, not so smart phones), which can be seen here:
http://electronics.cnet.com/electronics/0-7716980-8-20913407-1.html
The P800 cruised through the first and second rounds, and today is up against the Nokia 3650, and looks to be getting nearly double the votes so far (voting is over at 9am, PST time tomorrow).
They are down to the "final four" right now, with the P800 against the Nokia in one round, and the SE T68i against a Kyocera 7135 Palm phone in the other round.
It looks like the P800 and the Palm Phone will be the final combatants tomorrow, and it'll be interesting to see which one comes out ahead. I consider Palm to be "last year's news" no matter how attractive the packaging is, and that Kyocera is a nice package. The P800 is total 21rst century technology, so it should eek out the win, but who knows about Palm loyalists? So if you're a P800 fan or owner, get over there and place your votes today and tomorrow.
If the P800 wins, it will be another feather in the cap for the phone, and will outdo C|Net's good (but not stellar) rating for the phone in their review - the P800 triumphs over 15 other top-rated phones!
(as a side note, I think it's a good feather in the cap already for SE that two of their phones finished in the top four! Nokia can't claim that!)

P800 should definitely win but i would never put the t68i in the top four.
I wouldn't put the T68i in the top 10!, but it's down to users at the end of the day...if someone owns a T68i and it was put against the P800..they would probably vote the T68i and come up with the excuse that the P800 is a brick and not even consider any of the functions.
Don't open the champagne yet, that's not how I read it...

Looking at the link, the LG VX4400 and the Nextel i95cl have made it through the first two rounds to secure a place each in the final four. But the Nokia 3650 v P800 and Kyocera 7135 v T68i are still 2nd round match ups. Whichever one from each match wins will go through to the final 4 so at the moment, SE have 2 phones in the top 8.
I so hope SE goes all the way, though!!!
You know? if the kyocera only had 66 mhz atleast, I think it would have really been a kick ass phone/PDA. The basic thing that I miss about my palm OS device are the aps. There are applications for anything you want to do basically.
Aside from that, the P800 rocks in everything else! 😊

oops, my bad - I thought it was down to those last four phones, since they were running both in the same day. Apologies all around!

They are almost even now! Go vote!
....and the P800 has taken the lead. 55% for the P800 now. Keep voting!!!!!!!
Of cuz P800 is better~! But 3650's cam is indeed better.
[from site]Feature for feature, the 3650 and the P800 are well matched[/from site]
LOL. What is she on?
(still VERY close - 51/49!)
The Nokia is quickly catching the P800! Only 40 votes in it now (3239 to 3191) and 50:50! Quick, if you haven't voted, now is the time!!!! How stupid would it be if the T68i went on to the 3rd round and the P800 didn't!!!
QUICK, the Nokia has taken the lead, I think something fishy is going on here. Those Nokia lads must be spreading the word, or rigging the voting.
Its 50/50 exactly now! C'mon people, GO VOTE, this is important! 😮
NO WAY!
Nokia has jumped 120 votes ahead in the last few minutes. Now 49:51, something is definately fishy.
What a shame.... The P800 is loosing
Bad luck, at least I still think that the P800 IS BETTER! 8)
Woah!
The P800 just jumped 800 votes! Now are 4979:4653 (52:48). That means, there have been nearly 4000 votes in the last 50 minutes. Hmmm
I wonder how many 3650 owners would trade their phone for a P800 if they could?
Then I wonder how many P800 owners would trade theirs for a 3650... 😉
Both the 3650 and the p800 are great devices,i still cant decide which one to get.On one side i'm really tempted by the loads Series 60 apps already available and on the other, the mighty hardware giant.
GUYS!!! OUR WONDERFUL P800 IS FRIGGIN LOSING TO A BIG UGLY THING!!! AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS....IT KINDA LOOKS LIKE THE THING WE USE TO TAKE A SHOWER...COME ON GUYS....VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!
P800 is still in the lead 😊
Yeah, just as I thought, someone hacked the voting tool and cnet have started a fresh manual vote. So you have to vote again to make it count.
Sorry, folks, but it's Election 2000 all over again. Both of our remaining Elite Eight games were very tight until one of the fans got a little overzealous and diddled with the voting machine, forcing us to call a flagrant foul and sending each game into a mandatory overtime period, during which all votes will be counted by hand.To vote, simply write which phone you favor in the comments box.
Come on people...some wacko person cheated....we have to vote again...vote vote vote!!! THIS IS FUNNER THAN THE PESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS!!!!

"some" rather a whole bunch... but anyway, VOTE AGAIN!!!
I actually dont care who wins, the majority of people that are voting there probably never seen or used a p800 or a 3650 and will probably say: What, vote for those bricks? My t68i rocks.
Wow guys the P800 lost! 😞 Oh well, I find the 3650 as a really good phone! 😊 Its the best nokia ever came up with in terms of functionality. The only thing I hate about it is the keypad. My GF has that phone and im sure she will be proud that the 3650 won! 😊 The P800 is still the best Phone/PDA in the world to date! 😊 Unless this comes out if ever it is real:
