So, who can I blame for Belle still being 'Waiting for approval' for my N8 on Virgin? Starting to lose my patience now. :frown:
Belle on Virgin N8
....Pete! It's definately Pete's fault, blame him

Right if someone can point me in Pete's direction so I can 'have a word" I would be grateful.😉
Unfortunately Pete's phone is in for repairs.
......if it's any consolation (which it probably isn't) I have the same issue with my N8 on O2, so I feel your pain. Nothing we can do but wait till the Network has 'approved' and fecked about with the firmware provided by Nokia. 😊
.... still waiting 1 month on 😡
Looks like I will have to wait for a bit yet, Virgin have rejected Belle. Strange that no one else has.
Have Belle now - better late than never. Now to have fun tinkering. 😊
Immediately after upgrading from Anna to Belle, i have seen a dramatic fall in battery life, from over a day to less than a day.
Anybody else in that case?
My N8 after upgrading to Belle is working great. It seems alot better for making phone calls, and searching contacts, plus the widgets seems to work better.
Be aware thought with Belle, that with these fancy widgets, ensure you set the times from which the poll the internet on your 3g plan. The reason being is the likes of exchange mail when you set it to continuous polling, ie when a mail comes in, it literally updates real time, the n8 will chew up battery s pretty quick.
AFAICT battery life has gone down with Belle. My E7 battery life is totally unstable. From 6 hours to 22 hours. I've been trying to pinpoint the cause of the problem but without luck so far.
Lately I started to suspect that connecting your phone to your PC with USB could send it in a high battery consumption mode after disconnecting from PC.
In any case it is really sad to see that our most likely final firmware for S^3 phones ruined the battery life...
