Two nokia E6-00 with belle os , only one connects to pop3 account

Hi.I have a nokia e6-00.A friend of mine also has an e6.I've created 3 email pop3 accounts on his phone.Two of them work but the third doesn't.I created the exact same 3 on my phone and they all work.The settings are exactly the same.The only difference Is he uses a different carrier but there Is still Internet access and the other two accounts work fine.
Any Ideas?:con?

over wifi?
if it does then its an operator issue as you seem to indicate.

if you use the ip address of the mail server instead of the domain does that fix the problem?
