So I received my 808 this evening!!!
Very excited love the hardware, design looks far better irl than pictures/video
So anyhow I was trying out the GPS indoors and the 808 couldn't get a lock on my location
My N8 however locks on almost immediately!
Both devices have mobile data and wifi turned off and the 808 just won't lock on
I've yet to try the 808 outdoors (will do that now)
but does anyone else have the same issue? I thought I read people saying the 808 was far better than the N8 in this regard :/
A completely cold GPS lock can take forever, especially as you have all the data off which would help. I'd give it a chance to work out where you are in a normal use case and then try it indoors.
yes i realize that but the point is that the N8 connects almost immediately and pinpoints very soon after

I also suspect the 808 has a weaker GPS, but I only have 1 sim so cant do a real comparison
