7650 & 3650 pc suite

The 7650 datasuite seemed to work okay with my 3650 over IR, I haven't tried it with my bluetooth yet, but it should work too.
(might not have the MMC support in the 7650 datasuite tho?)

Try uninstalling the 7650 PC suite and use 3650 suite for both phones. Remember to "backup your backups" somewhere else on the harddrive, I'm not sure if uninstalling the 7650 suite will remove all user created files as well.

Ok, this trully sucks.

I have removed the 7650 version and installed the 3650 version, after over an hour of fiddling with the settings, I managed to connect the 3650 over bluetooth to pc suite, nice.

So then I try the 7650, not happening with bluetooth for some reason, so I use IR, connects, launch pc suite, message incompatible phone, can be used as data imoprt source only.

So it looks like nokia have made zero provision for one computer and two phones, thanks nokia - I feel a complaint coming on.

Before I do, has anyone managed to get this working correctly? details appreciated.

I've been using both models at work, first with 7650 suite, then 3650 and now again 7650.

BUT I haven't been messing around with backups etc, just the standard .sis-installations and infrared transfers. So unfortunately I can't claim to have managed to get it working 100%.

Pretty huge blooper from Nokia if this is the situation: first make the PC suites incompatible with the other model and then prevent the two from being installed at the same time. :x

Yeah, I can send files to either phone and send to the PC from them straight from the BT application, that works great, just drop the file on the correct phone icon and away you go.

But pc suite just does not want to know. I'll contact nokia CS and see what they say.

Hmm.. Yeah that's pretty screwed up of Nokia to not support multiple phones.. the 7650 and 3650 are just about identical anyway.

Well, guess you'll either have to go with two installs on two different computers, or BT over everything to the 3650, and then to the PC-Suite and download it that way 😊
