can someone tell me how the mp3 sounds on the loudspeaker
compared to the P800's loudspeaker does it sound really bad or almost the same?

Haven't tried mp3, but Real Audio doesn't sound so good, somewhat distorted, on the other hand, a WAV music clip sounded perfect!! So really perfect! (but depends on the settings you recorded it in)
mp3 on 3650 with the correct settings sound so perfect
i use streambox ripper with 24 bitrate and 16000 mhz and its only araoun 500kb
Guys - don't get me wrong, I love my 3650 and would not swap it for the world.
But, just came out of a meeting and had a play with the P800, the phone I can take or leave, not too impressed.

Sorry - not what you wanted to hear, but if you are serious about sound - P800 is the one to have.
For me 3650 is just fine and dandy, sound is ok for my needs.

I found it awkward to use with the pen thing and not quite a intuative as the 3650.

its mono and like radio sound...
mp3's on P800 sounds better coz its speaker is stereo while the 3650 speaker is only mono 😞 I'm quite disappointed... I was hoping using my headset would make the mp3 sound better, but it's still the same! Sound is not that good...

Try installing kazaalite on your pc. It's a good program to search and download mp3s 😊
im all for 3650 all the way but personally i dont think we will ever get stereo sound out of it the way it stands even with a new head set cos its down to the hardware they probs dont have enough audio channels to give a stereo output....

if u want your 3650 to sound better like p800 try to pinch the 3 holes at the back of your phone. the first batch of 3650 has a hole at the back and iive tried on my cell phone and it sounds great. if hole at the back of your cell it sounds mono and it sucks but if u put a hole on it it sounds streo1

Its the three near the nokia logo. I wont be chopping my phone up though. Found an mp3 player presume cant be used for ringing tones.
applications are available to let you play mp3s. and they can't be ringing tones... unless an app will be made for that use.
I'm curious about the logic of drilling your 3650... what holes?! the ones between the nokia logo and the camera, on the back?! that makes no sense...
yeah... that's the one. the one near the camera. some drill them for better sound quality... I'm not sure if this is true though. But I wouldn't try that for sure!
