Downloading clips with Oplayer

Hi

If I download a clip (rather than stream) with Oplayer, how do I save it on my phone for offline viewing? Is this possible?

Thanks

It depends on wheather downloading has been 'allowed' on that particular clip.
If you are able to download and save it will be stored in the 'my videos' folder in Oplayer.

Most clips can NOT be saved and can only be streamed, this way the content providers have control of what videos are watched and can bill accordingly via reverse SMS.
Also long videos would be too large a file to store localy on the phone - thats the whole point of streaming them..

That's where 3650 and memory card are good at - lots of space to save clips.

I myself prefer to try and make extra (temporary) space on my 7650 for download, because it's a bit annoying when stream starts buffering in the middle of clip. It's still going to be the same amount of GPRS traffic whether you download or stream it. 😊

If you were able to download stuff then it means your access point at least works partially. Then I'd guess one of two options has happened with the playlists:

1) The playlist address is wrong, or the remote server hosting it is down. (can be checked via PC if you know the URL)

2) The access point is limited to certain domains. Sometimes operators don't want you hanging around strange domains with certain access points, so they enable only certain sites through their gateway.

Hopefully things get sorted out for you...
