Maybe I understand you wrong, but if you just want a file you can install e-messaging and bring the file with an sms...

Hiya

In theory you can do this, but i dont have the software or a second 9210 to test it but.....

If you have terminal software on a pair of 9210's you can use the software on one to dial the other, and so long as you have the other set up to answer then it should work (assuming its possible to set one up to answer on a 9210. Then, it should be possible to download / upload the files between machines.

Im wondering if its possible to do the above using the IR link as opposed to via a phone connection ? Though when i think about it more, isnt it possible to beam files between machines ? or if not, swap the file using the memory card.....

I don't think e-messaging is going to work, sms is so tiny it wouldnt get much info accross but you could always try e-mailing across with the file attached, i think that will work)

I think you need an app, that could allow other users to dial in like you do to an internet provider. Or a fax app thet uses the fax capabilities to send files.

The most simple way I can think of is 2 both go on the internet and swap your files trough the internet, by mail, ftp ...
You could build a simple socket app that could do this, but you wouldn't be able to receive a connection without knowing the phone's current IP.
