Whoah. They have updated their site. They are saying that their first beta version will be released this week (from 7 april to 14 april). And because the IR port is on the left side, they made a horizontal version!!!

I thought i heard the beta version wasn't avalaible anymore, has anyone been lucky enough to test it? how does it work and from how far?

mrgadget is right, they said the beta is not avlble anymore and that it should be coming out soon already.. tsk tsk.. I would really want this ap too! 😊

Cool it works!!! 😊 Thanks! one irritating problem though, after I installed it all my applications went into the unfiled folder 😞 Had to categorize everything accordingly again. 😊

Tested it with a sony tv and it works. Have yet to test it on other devices 😊

i used the IRremote on my p800 & it seemed to work on my sony TV but not on my JVC & other indian brands.
it works from a distance of about max 2-3 metres.
, not more...& the sight of line has to be kept.....so that means not much of an angle.
with my sony TV...channel up & volume up works & power also. cant get the channel down & volume down to work.

I only hope the final version has a LEARNING FUNCTION... is that even possible? should be...??I wish it does, caus i have one remote for my TV, DVD, AMP, Curtains, FAN & A/C

Also thank god they changing the position as the IR is not up in the front of the phone.

I have also "tried" a version of the beta, and couldn't get it to work, again with a Sony television.

Do you guys start ir before you load it? I tried that and it moans, but I can't see a signal coming out of the ir socket when i use it....
