Hi,

as i browsed through this forum, i noticed that there are many differents video formats that can be played on the 3650. So i have the following questions:
1)Which one of those is the best in quality ?
2)Which the best one in size ??
3)Do i need additional software to play them, or can they all be played with the Real One Player ??

Thx

i've just published a tutorial concerning encoding in Realmedia.
it's in french but you could translate it with altavista. i'll do a real translation asap.

RM is the best IMO as its the smallest filesize, decent video quality and decent sound quality. Its well suited to those without or have a small MMC (16meg). With clever cropping and video resizing you can get very small files.

3GP is the best quality video and it comes at a moderate filesize. It is good if you have a medium size MMC (32-64meg)

MPEG-4 is the largest and has the best quality and IMO is a waste of space unless you have a large MMC. It should also be noted that when sending it to the phone it should automatically (you have to enable it) convert it to 3GP and also the correct dimensions thus minimizing wasted pixels. After all not much point having alot of detail if the screen isn't capable of showing it. This is best for those with (128meg MMC).
