Sony Ericsson ceased to support UIQ3 phones by SEUS.
Since the first of October 2011 to refresh the P1i firmware you need to visit ex-Sony Ericsson service point (authorized repair) or find somewhere else the Emma server.

your set has become outdated. sony ericson had stopped p1i phones. You have to go to the nearest sony ericson service centre.

Dear soham, thanks god and you, it looks like there's still some activity over here. I was looking for some help for a long time with a p1i device. It would perfectly fit my needs for using at work for VOIP calls. It has WiFi, hw call operating buttons, and a dock for charging in standing state.
What I'd like, is to install the MobileVoip app on it, but my friend who has this device said, that the phone won't recognize the files available here: http://www.freevoipdeal.com/old_versions#symbian-logo

Could you help me out which MobileVoip version would fit the phone?

check out http://www.itelmobiledialer.com . This can help you to solve your problem.

Well, I checked it, but this is not really what I need. I already have a provider (FreeVoipDeal) with an account charged, so what I really need is to find a way to run a client on p1i for that provider, and MobileVoip is the recommended, and most popular one.

@atillaahun
In my opinion you should check Optimobile Uniphone VoIP client as this was especially developed for UIQ 3.

I understand that you may have a doubts for this kind of tips - I assure you that on my P990i works, so on your P1i also has to - but on YT you can see for yourself how it works:
Note the style of the Uniphone icon!

More guidance on the application here:

Good luck!

Ps: Remote Emma server to refresh the UIQ 3 firmware is available on one of the Indonesian web sites.
Look for there.
