808 connection failed/unavailable

My 808 gives me 'connection failed, connection unavailable' pop-down every time on start-up, just before the enter PIN screen appears. I ignore it, it goes away and it doesn't reappear.....but I'm wondering what it might be.
I've trawled the few apps that are on the device and they're all offline, and I've also turned off product improvement in the privacy section and maps.
Seems to me that since this is happening before the PIN screen, apps won't have auto-started anyway, so might it be some system setting I've missed?
Any ideas?

Nokia's lock code is 12345 always at the time of manufacture thn peoples changes it. try 12345 to unlock it.

The battery is not as long as possible, no protection circuit of the battery is full of that should stop charging, or battery for heating or overheat impact performance

The only thing I can think of .. get rid of it or upgrade it to the new version that actually works - if you really need it?
I got rid of it ages ago.
