I would like to update the firmware to Belle but (I think) the network operators never approved the firmware release; there was a page on the Nokia web site saying �waiting for approval�, presumably from all the operators though they do not have any incentive to do so, so this upgrade path this does not seem possible. However, O2 did release an update for O2 branded versions of the E7- the Dark Grey version. A possible solution might be to change the firmware to the O2 version of Belle. I realise that a branded phone�s firmware can contain irritating and unnecessary �features�, something I may just have to live with.
Can the community tell me:
� What is the difference (other than colour and �features�) between the Blue 059H316 and the O2 version which I think is Dark Grey product code 059G417?
� Is the Belle O2 upgrade product code 059F7J6?
� If not, what is the product code?
� And would flashing the 059F7J6 (or the correct version) firmware onto my Blue 059H316 work for me (caveats of �you do this at you own risk� accepted)?
� Or to install a �hacked� version of the firmware � any suggestions?
