Real One Streaming Problems - Connection Time Out

Is anybody else having problems getting streaming content to work in Real One.

I'm not trying anything fancy, just trying to connect to Virgin Radio from the Media Guide bookmark (one of the default bookmarks on my 3650)

I am using the default settings.

The connection times out every time. In fact I get this result no matter what streaming content I try to connect to.

Anybody got streaming working.

Any information appreciated.

You are in the UK yes?

RealOne does not work on UK networks as they all block UDP packets.
Get yourself oplayer from www.oplayo.com they stream over TCP

Apparently Real have a fix for this but it's been about 6 months and I'm yet to see it, and phones appear to be shipping without the fix in place. It probably involves using a proxy or somink - when I find out I'll post it here.

Thanks for the response. Yes I am in the UK on O2. Downloaded Oplayer but still get Request timedout when I try and access the playlist - very annoying! I am using GPRS setting sent to me from the O2 website. I can connect using GRPS and surf to other sites it just seem to be streaming content.

Any more ideas or tips?

Thats probably because you are using GPRS WAP.
You need GPRS INTERNET
Don't make it easy do they 😉

Copy your GPRS access point but instead of an IP adress use 0.0.0.0 and try that.

Do a search on here - there are bound to be other user that can give you the settings.
O2 PAYGO I don't think works, try calling O2 and ask them.
