How often do the Contacts compress on P800, my contacts database on Nokia 7650 was 33k, same contacts on p800 a massive 880k, whats the point of more memory if its used up in this way.
The contacts should auto compress, but it hasn,t since the first day I got it
any ideas ?? :-?
Do you by any chance have lots of photos under the contacts?
I had a similar situation when I first set my P800 up - after syncing my 7650 contacts database into Outlook and then resyncing the P800 (to transfer everything across) my contacts database was huge!!
However I have found that adding, deleting and modifying an entry can trigger the compression. My database went from 900k to 200k after compression.
I have about 6 photos with contacts, approx 150k I guess, hopefully a version of stacker or similar will be released allowing a manual compress as on the 7650/3650.
