Now avialble via Gameloft is Splinter Cell (based on Tom Clancy's writings). In the game you play a CIA operative playing different missions. Its a platform game with a theme.

Author Notes:
Your name is Sam Fisher and you are the best field-operative of the secretive black-ops NSA sub-agency THIRD ECHELON. Sent to execute desperate missions, youre the last resort of your government, on the edge of legality and morality.Alone, you are geared up to infiltrate and neutralize every enemy - all without leaving a trace.

Silent as a whisper, deadly as a blade, you are authorized to operate with carte blanche. You exist above the law, but your name, your face and your mission must remain anonymous.

I downloaded several Java games the other day from Telefonica Movistar after the bastards sent me an SMS with a list of games to download for 3 apiece. This game was among them and I have to say it's my favorite of the lot.

Its controls are actually the best part - the game doesn't expect you to have full control over movements, so it makes it quite simple. You're not supposed to shoot unless you have to (which you do by pressing down) and running and jumping are start-stop actions. Push right- run. Stop. Push up - jump. Stop. Push down- fire. Stop. Etc... sort of like the controls in Prince of Persia. Very well done for my 7650.

If anything I am going through the levels rather quickly (if brusquely... you're supposed to do them stealthily), but even still I haven't finished it yet and it was well worth the money just for the amount of entertainment up til now.

It's a great game, but a little too straightforward... Wish it was more like flashback on the amiga (puzzles to solve). After finishing the easy level in under an hour, it took me 25 mins to finish the 'hard' level 😞 No more use for the game now.. grr.
