Just realized this... when your P800 hangs, just press the power button for 10 seconds, then it will shutdown. So for those people who see the triangle and the #10 symbols, this means the p800 shall turn itself off in 10 secs while pressing the power button.
I found this out when my P800 freezes when I call up the IRcontrol program, while infrared and/or BT is/are activated. Previously, doing this does not cause any problem, it only started to happen when I installed the latest HandyDayDemo and HandySafeDemo. Is there a known compatability problem with the Handy programs? Or is it just because the ones I installed are the demo versions?
And now, even if I uninstalled the Handy programs and the IRControl program, then reinstall the IRcontrol program only, still same problem persist. I guess this is my chance to try the format function. 😞

The IR Control program will be Beta version, and is not meant for public release, if you haven't been given this to beta test by the Software company (as I suspect you haven't) then it is most likely that the version you are using is not the latest version. This may cause problems with your phone.....Stop using 'shared' software 😉
YEAH...THANK GOD! !! someone else has this problem, i was going to send it to sony service centre for a check up. Mine hangs when i type a new sms in flip closed mode only...not always, but it happens once every 20times or so which is quite often as i send more than 20messages a day easily.
maybe the new upgrade will clean up this problem.

Im absolutely stunned that someone has to post here to let others know what the 10 second reset is.
This is one of (probably) 5 posts which comes up every single day as a new post but has unsurprisingly been coverred every single day before this. It is in every single FAQ as far as I know and is probably the most asked question.
What I really can't understand is the fact that the logo shows an arrow to the power button with a 10 second countdown symbol illuminated. How much more glaringly obvious do you want it to be???
