Is there a way to get mp P800 to sync with my PC when running Windows NT? Is there any aftermarket software out there to do this?

Sony's official position is that it is being developed but not available through them yet.
I really need to get my contacts & calender downloading from Outlook 98 (running on NT) to my P800.

All I can say is you really need to get a life, plain and simple. Maybe you get a little kick out of being the "special policeman" of this forum - last time I checked you weren't an administrator....
Now to your point - yes I made a mistake and would gladly delete my earlier posting but alas, cannot. So - therefore wouldn't it be good if you could add some value and answer the question??
Furthermore, as per the posting from the administator I read which advised me to search the forum - I did this ("p800 Windows NT"😉 and a quick scan of the subjects and checking a few postings revealed nothing pertinent to my topic. Therefore, if you in your absolute wisdom can point me to the posting that answers my question I would be most appreciated. Otherwise, keep quiet and stop clogging the forum with your uselessness.

Bassey - I noticed that too on this forum when looking through answers to past posts. I really thought twice before posting my question as I just expected the 'vetrans' to have a go at the 'newbie'.
Unfortunately - this is exactly what has happened and am no closer to solving my very frustrating problem. This is the explanation for my little outburst...which is very unlike me...
There were one or two posts a fair while ago that mentioned work arounds for NT, but none of them were a complete solution.
Personally, I've tried using the serial cable, but that didn't work either.
At the moment, there are two courses of action I can think of.
One, don't bother with synching for now and wait for SE to release the NT\98 updates.
Two, remote synch with your PC. NT can be configured as a server, so you can dial in remotely to synchronise (at a cost, of course).
Unfortunately, the second option isn't much use to most as, if they have NT 4, it'll most likely be a work machine and remote access will be restricted.
