My P800 is bugging me at the moment, everytime i receive a call it answers the call automatically. So all my friends find themselves listening in on my conversations. The phone is not set to any key answer aswell. Anyone had the same problem with a remedy please let me know. Thanks
Auto Answer
i suspect it must be something to do with voice dialing.
Have you programmed or enabled voice commands for 'Answer' ?
Do you have any voice dialing Contacts ?
Firstly is it a incoming call or outgoing call ?
Incoming calls can be answered automatically by the 'Answer' voice command. Check what has been recorded here. I think, if it a dummy sound, the above phenomenon can happen.
For the same reason, if you have recorded some dummy sound as voice dials for contacts, i think this might trigger it to call the contact involuntarily.
In Phone->Edit->Preferences->Handsfree it is possible to set the 'Answering Mode' to 5 seconds, I've never used it so I don't know what it means but I'm guessing it may automatically answer the phone after 5 seconds which maybe your problem. Also as previously stated the voice answer function seems to be incredibly lax, I set my answer keyword to 'Answer' and I've had to turn it off because if I was just having a normal conversation while my phone rang 50% of the time it would answer anyway even if the word 'answer' wasn't mentioned. If you like using the keyword answer I would recommend setting it to something like 'answer P800' or 'answer call' as this is much less likely to have conflicts.
