Anyone of you encounter this before,.....while i am doing sms or taking picture,...the phone just reboot by itself. I have the newest firmware which is 2.50. Wonder why?
what software do you have installed?
photograher,.....efilemanager,....mp3go,......and a few other software which i cant remmember as i have already deleted all and reset the phone to factory setting,.....do you know what may cause the problem,...

happened to me to man... had different kind of apps. in it...active desk, system tools, eprofile, extended suite, mp3go, task manager bla bla.... in the middle of something it just reboots itself... hope they will fix this kind of things in next firmware (2.50 current)
has it only done it once or often?
in 1 day alone (after the upgrade of firmware the day before) it happen twice,.....hope its nothing serious 😞

I experienced auto reboot few times while using miniGPS. I've removed it and everything's working fine now.

so its probs being caused by new software installed not hardware or nokia fault

would u agree?

no such prob though some apps or games hang but could be that they were meant for 7650 since sonme of the buttons dun control the gmae

This really means one (hopefully) application installed is causing your phone to reboot. Specially freewarez... better review those intalled apps in your unit. :squarewink:

another thing which may be drastic but crude and efficeient is to remove all the software u installed and see wot happens.....

I'm also using V2.50. No problem on mine. Try to restore the phone to original factory setting. Try to install back additional the software... one by one. Install one software and test for one day .. if no problem install the others one on the second day... and goes on..on. Surely you will know which software is giving problem

I wouldn't agree it's the installed applications. In my experience, when my phone was just a day or two old, i haven't got bluetooth yet, so i haven't installed any apps at all. When suddenly, while doing SMS, it sort of "hanged" and then rebooted itself.

It happened only once though. Now, i have many applications installed on the MMC (128MB). Hasn't rebooted since.

Maybe, it will happen again. I don't know. It's obviously some conflict that prompted itself to reboot to avoid further problems.

As long as it happens once in a while (like once every 8 months or so), it wouldn't bother me. This is a great phone. Hands down. I haven't complained much.

A friend of mine has the exact same problem - and it happened after he installed mp3go.
Perhaps thats the connection...

Best

Well I got my phone last Thurday and it relatively frequently reboots itself, using SMS and when I switch it on I have not added any new software, it is as it comes out of the box. I have not Idea what firmware the phone is using (how do I tell?). It is not a problem really just a small inconvenience.

BTW I love the phone.

you can check your firmware by pressing *#0000#... maybe you firmware isn't the latest. The latest so far is 2.50
