Strange things have started happening to my P800, I havent changed the software setup for weeks, but it started yesterday.
Case One: Somebody called me and the phone started ringing, then froze, the phone was still ringing but I could not do anything with it, the phone just rang and rang and vibrated and vibrated untill I held down the power button for 10 seconds.
Case Two: Again somebody called me, the phone froze again, no ringing this time, but I could still use the Jog Dial and the side buttons but nothing on the touchscreen, even weirder was that after I did the 10s power button thing, the phone would not turn back on. AHHH! I thought, but I took the battery out and back in and the power button worked again.
Case Three: I had the phone in flight mode to try and conserve power as I had forgotten to pack my charger. When I needed to make a call I took it out of flight mode, but it was acting strange, it would say it has full signal on the indicator, but as soon as I tried to connect a call the signal indicator dropped and the phone refused to connect, a second later the signal would pop up again. I tried again, same thing, I tried a total of 4 times with the same effect until I power-cycled the phone and it worked perfectly.
All in all a bit of an annoying 2 days with the P800, its not a particularly fast phone to use for normal phone features and this got me so worked up!
Anyone else had similar issues? Any idea what might be causing this sudden strange behaviour given that I havent added anything new to the phone since long before it started???
