Brandos New P800 Leather Case

I was just surfing around and found that Brando has a new leather case for the P800. It looks good and pricing is reasonable. I would have bought this if not for my Pielframa case. Check it out guys 😊

From the looks of it i think it might even be better than the Pielframa. Darn maybe i should have waited. There are slots for all the useful function and even for the stylus. And you can directly open the flip, unlike the Pielframa which has a wrapround leather covering the flip. But then again the Pielframa offers more all round protection for the unit, esp the screen 😊

They're slightly cheaper over at P800er.

P800er also have the MS Duo-CF adapter available, http://www.p800er.com/product.asp?id=23

I agree with you, I should've waited for this case so I can compare with other available cases. I am using a Krusell case right now...although the Brando case looks much better aesthetically, I think my Krusell case protects the screen area better. My only gripe with the Krusell is the weird vertical belt clip location. I had to do some "surgery" and now, the belt clip is horizontally placed :P

Loks great! Better order it now before I get pushed down the outa stock line again 😞

OT: By the way, did your get your 128 Memstick already Christomas? 😊

is it a horizontal or vertical case?

I can't figure out how that plastic strap hooks into the leather case.

Does anyone understand it?

From the looks of it, i belive its a vertical case. About the MS Duo Muzikfreakah, sorry havent received it yet. They shipped it last April 8. It will take more or less a week before i get it 😊

I printed the pics of the casing and im going to try tom improvise on it and have the local leather shop make one 😊

Wha's the point? I mean, I would never hang my phone from my belt with the screen facing out and no protection whatsoever. I really see no use for it.

I have found a few cases that work for me. One is a bigger but still small camare case that I posted some time ago. Great for travelling because it has an extra compartment for headphones and mem cards. The other is a very small case I found in a PDA store. Its made by incase and I think their site is goincase.com but I'm not sure if they sell them there. It's black and well paded. The clip is comfortable because you can actually loop it around anything and you don't need a belt. There is a problem if you use the flip, because the fit is tight I would recomend fitting the phjone upside down so that you can take it out fast, because sometimes the flip gets cought on a seem.

Still, I'll take it anytime over the one posted here.

I just checked their Web Site and they do sell them, but I'm not sure which is mine! I remember now I actually got mine at a Tmobile store in NYC so it's probably a cell phone case, but this guys have lot's of sizes. I wish I had known before.

THIS ONE IS MORE BEAUTIFUL BUT A BIT EXPENSIVE

i checked this one out recently at the store.
it has nice leather, well designed. But you might have problem sitting in the car with your P800 on the belt clip.
Also how long does it take to answer a phone call with the phone in the holster ?

If you read my post thorughly M M you would have noticed that i said i am currently using the Pielframa case. It is indeed very well made and of excellent material, and it does offer full protection to the fone. All at a price though 😊

What do you think about this? 😊

Is there a English version of this site ?

this is a website from hong kong, i would like to traslate if you don't understand the chinese

I personally don't like either the Pielframa or Brando case. There has to be something better coming along.

It appears the Pielframa case would be almost unuasable to talk with while in the case unless you don't mind talking with a huge flap hanging down.

I also agree with previous comments on the Brando case. Why have a case that does not protect the screen in any way and also points it out away from the user where it would be most vunerable?

I have the SE case on pre-order although since it doesn't show a picture it could be just as bad if not worse than the Brando and Pielframa. But I'm hoping they will get it right.
Here's the link for the SE case:http://shopwireless.sonyericsson.com/store/PhoneAccessories.asp?cat=Imageware&phone=SONY+ERICSSON+P800

I just took out my 9210 case which fits horizontally on my belt & put the p800 in it...fits neatly...perfect width & keeps it covered & protects it ...what else do you want from it.

Now i'll just take it to a small tailor & remove the NOKIA metal Badge & put a SONY ERICSSON one...& Voila..a neat belt case....maybe even alter & cut it a bit short...
These 9210 horizontal cases cost about USD15.00(around Rs.700) here in india.

Because of the P800 complex design with camera button, camera, jog-dial, infra-red port, stylus, flip and the charger socket, it is difficult to design a leather case, where P800's all features are usable with the case 'on'.

The best is to use P800 naked.
I use a third-party leather-case attached to the belt (like Nokia cases), whereby after usage it sits in the case protected.

Actually, while I did like the Piel Frama case, I too thought it was too bulky and I also worried about the card scratching the screen whent he case was closed (they seem to be up against the screen in the photos).

What I want in a case thought is no extras - just a clean, protective sleeve to guard the screen and body as much as possible. I had thought about a neoprene wetsuit, like the old Body Glove suits, but covering the unit and having a large clear shield to protect the display. The flip would have to go, but the case could be a very sleek alternative with just enough protection.

I also WOULD NOT use neon colors - black, dark red or blue could be perfect. Orange, Playskool blue and other noxious colors should stay on the drafting table...

I just spoke to SE today about the case they have available for preorder (Executive Kit IBK-20). It will be released at the end of the month.

This case is going to be more of a pouch which is exactly what I need. To answer a call, you will have to open the pouch then remove the phone. This will offer the best protection for the phone and will not decrease usability if you use a BT headset as the primary device to make and recieve calls while in the case.
While there are no photos yet, I have it preordered with great anticipation. :P
