Hi,

I have lost the shortcut to File Manager.

It is installed but I cannot find it in any of the links and I cannot find a way of adding back on.

I cannot install it as I don't have the File Manager.sis file.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can solve this.

thanks

Paul.

PS Great forum.

Add an icon to the desktop, any icon, or use one that is already there (you can add an icon from Extras with 'Add to Desktop'😉.

CTRP + P over the chosen icon

Scroll down to Parameters and press ENTER

Select Browse and navigate to c\System\Apps\Fileman (or d if that is where it is)

Select Fileman.app and Ok back to the desk

The new icon will now run File Manager!

The icon is missing from both Desktop and Extras when I try the sequence you suggest (I duplicated an icon and then attempted to change the icon properties to point to File Manager) but I when I hit enter on Parameters nothing happened.

Does anyone have a standalone copy of the .SIS file?

thanks for your help so far...

Paul.

Yes, I had an icon on my desktop for 'Active Desk'. I went into its properties and changed it's Parameters to point to Fileman, just like you would with a Windows shortcut.

What you may want to try is to connect your 9210 to a PC, copy the contents of the Fileman folder to your HD, delete it from the 9210 and reboot the 9210. After that, copy the contents of the Fileman folder back to the 9210 and look in Extras.[ This Message was edited by TANKERx on 2002-05-30 0226 ]
