has anyone played around with optimum settings for wave files? whats the general best sample rate to use? i was thinkin 22khz mono 8bit would probably sound no different to anything higher and keep filesizes down, but i haven't got my bluetooth adapter yet...

im searching thru all of my cds to find loopable tracks. when i've done some, i'll test em on the fone to make sure they loop properly (with wavs it doesn't add a gap to the end does it? that'd suck if it did ) and then i'll make a grabpack of stuff.

it'll mainly be dance tracks old and new, along with some nice guitar riffs from my punk/hardcore cds. nice mixture :>

or you can try "IMA ADPCM" coding and 22khz mono it has better quality on the phone and the Compression ratio is not bad 8)

Thanx for the tip on compressing wav with ima adpcm. that
decreased the size of my tune a great deal 😃

nope - doesnt sem to add any gap at the end , when i make a wav-loop
with cool edit - its pretty much finished work, and sounds ok on the 7650😊
( i think the p800 makes a gap at the end of the file doesnt it ??
.. but then again the phone has lots of mem (so that wouldnt be an issue)
I would believe that p800-owners do not want such loops huh? )
