hi!
our 7650 doesn't seem to have a profile setting in our headset is plugged. Because the ringer isn't loud enough if the headset is plugged on the phone.
any tip?
TIA!

Yes, it does. Read page 41 of the manual.
If you choose tools/settings all the way down the bottom of this menu is accessories, which allows you to set up what happens when you plug the headset in.
(It might not be on page 41 of your manual, it will depend on whether your phone company has re-written the nokia manual and made it their own, like Orange UK usually do, or maybe what language it is in)

Thanks a lot!! 😊
But it seems the ringer sound is not the same as it is when the headset is not plugged in.
is there a way to make the ringing tone and message alert tone louder while using the headset? Louder as in the same level as if you're not using a headset.
I depends on the quality of the ear piece you are using on how it treats the sound, in theory you would want it to be as loud any way because you don't want to be deafened, but what you can do is customise another profile that you don't use to be exactly the same as your normal one but increase the volume of the ringing tone, then select that when you plug the headset in that the phone switches to this one with the increased level.
actually the external speaker is my concern as i don't wear the earpiece if im not on a call. ringtone coming out of the external speaker on maximum level is weaker when the earpiece is plugged in.
I also have my vibration alert switched together with maximum alert volume on with my profile, can't tell whether its a message or a call.
I am afraid that this seems to be as designed, when the earpiece is in it is assumed that you will be listening through it, as the same audio is output to both the level has to be dropped so that your ears are not daamaged. There is no separate level for each.
I personally walk around with the earpiece in as I don't want to fumble around for it when a call comes, also useful when driving.
I would like the phones speaker to be cut when I have the earpiece in but alas this is also not possible.
Er sorry, that was me not logged in.
oh ok, i dont wear the earpiece if there's no active call, its in my pocket, thats why i have problem with the external ringer.
thanks anyways.
