avista has released AM v1.13 claiming that it works with 3650... Well I still can't set it up..
The call is answered and the recorded message can be heard slightly in 3650 but in the line I'm calling from. The the AM continues to record the message of the caller normally...
Any ideas? Is it because its demo?
tried it ... still buggy ... caller cant even hear the the recorded greeting
tried installing that demo of answering machine but hhmmpp my response can't even hear by a caller :-?
got this response from Avista:

Dear Nikos,
Indeed, there is a problem with "Answering Machine" running on Nokia
3650 firmware 2.50. It seems that some changes were made in firmware
2.50 comparing to the earlier versions that cause the problem. We are
working hard trying to find a workaround.
We will let you know when the corrected version will be released.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
With kind regards,
AVISTA Support

Yes, it doesn't work. Alongside with Answering machine by Avista, Call Manager by VirtualWare and SmartAnswer by Symbianware.
They mute the microphone which in turn HOLDS the call. So the caller hears nothing. He/she can't even leave a message.
As of the moment, there's NO answering machine app that works on the 3650. Nokia is aware of this (hardware issue).
He/she can't even leave a message.
Caller/s can leave a message. I tested it... I heard the beep tone every few seconds which means I'm being recorded. I tested the 3 apps (SmartAnswer, Call Manager, Avista AM one by one), I played the recorded message that the answering machine recorded and it was played but soft.
The only problem with the 3 applications and Nokia 3650 (version 2.50) is the recorded sound file (.amr) will not play.
Avista Answering machine able to put the call "unmute" but to bad that it still does not play the .amr
I hope Nokia will release a new version soon that will fix this issue. Some reports version 3.07 is out. Do you think this issue has been resolved with 3.07?
Really? In my case, i was able to record something with Avista when i "unheld" the call. I was able to play it back. It was loud and the sounds around the microphone was also recorded.
Other than that, i heard nothing. No greetings, no beep.
It was really weird... i'd love to have this app on my phone but i guess i still have to wait.
😊
Damn sorry about that... that's me.

i like an answering machine app too even though my subscription with my local provider is bundled with voicemailbox but with an answering machine application is cool.. we can configure how long before answering machine will get the call
