9210: http://www.nokia.com/phones/9210 and "Software" from there.
9210i: http://www.nokia.com/phones/9210i and as previous.
Opera: http://www.opera.com
However, the 9210i has Opera built-in & there's no version for 9210.
Ive read somewhere about a trick for the 9210 that installs opera. You have to play about with some files.
I think i saw it on my-symbian.com.
Ill post the direct link later.
okia 9210i comes with much better WWW browser, based on Opera 6, with support for Javascript etc. Unfortunately, there is no official version of Opera browser available as an upgrade for N9210 users.
But don't get frustrated - now you can have Opera 6 in your 9210! In a free and legal way! The only thing you need is the newest version (1.2) of Nokia 9200 series Communicator C++ SDK, which can be ordered at Forum Nokia.
If you already have SDK v1.2, install it on your PC and go to NokiaCPP\Epoc32\Release\armi\urel directory. Now all you have to do is to copy some files from this folder to your device:
create D:\System\Apps\Opera folder in your 9210
copy: blank.gif, chartables.bin, drive.gif, file.gif, folder.gif, link.gif, Opera.aif, Opera.app, Opera.mbm, Opera.rsc to D:\System\Apps\Opera in your device
copy Strings.rsc to D:\System\Data (if such folder doesn't exist - create one to save space on C
copy: oprbridge.dll, oprcntrl.dll, oprjava.dll and oprmodel.dll to D:\System\Libs (if such folder doesn't exist - create one to save space on C
That's all! Now you can see a WWW icon in your Extras group. You can move it from Extras to Internet if you like. This browser is different than beta version of Opera, but it is identical as the final version present in 9210i!
NEW! If you have memory problems when running Opera in your 9210, following may be a solution for you:
Proceed exactly as above, but take all Opera files from THUMB folder in SDK instead of ARMI folder. Thumb files are considerably smaller, eg. Armi version of oprmodel.dll has 2,1 MB while Thumb version has 1,7 MB... This should provide you with more free memory.
Hm....
I use a better solution.
Neat and almost perfect(is not free afterall)
It is called NetFront

Thanks for your help! My Opera version wont work because it is a time expired demo version. I have removed it. What I am required to do now? When I install the expired demo now I have just a few minutes before it expires again! Is there another 'non-expired' demo around I should get my hands on or can I continue with the expired version using your trick??
Thanks for your help
