P800 -QUESTION PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi this is my first post,

i have had a P800 for about a month now, an amazing device, and this forum has helped get the best out of the P800 so thank you all.

my question is this i am unable to install the software to my computer reason being its probabaly the oldest computer in the world, it does'nt even have a usb port. so my question is is it possible to connect the P800 to computer through a serial port, i dont think so but not sure.

If not what would be the best and cheapest way transfering pics and applications to the p800. i curently use email but its expensive as it eats away at my 4mb monthly alloawance, especially mp4's.

so any help would be great.

Try the USB-to-Serial Convertor, it might work. If not, get a Bluetooth or IrDA Adaptor.
Good luck 😉

Cheapest way would be a Serial IrDA adapter, or if your feeling a little richer then a Serial Bluetooth dongle 😊

If its that old what operating system are you using. The connection software is not compatible with win98 or earlier os's

I would Email the apps to a computer at work or a friends computer and then dump the load to the p800 all at once at the end of the week. At least you'll get all the important app.s set up and your P800 will be up and running.

After that I'm not sure a serial Bluetooth will be recognized by your computer...

Come to think about it for the price of the P800 you could buy a whole computer system 😉

Good luck
