Dead battery

Let my P800 run out of charge last night (foolishly left the charger at a friend's) and it made me wonder.

The memory stick should be fine, but if you let the battery go really, really flat, will the phone lost all it's settings and internal memory eventually?

This was the singlemost annoying thing about my iPaq...

At a guess, no.

It doesn't do it [lose everything] when you take the battery out, and there are no warnings on the package or documentation saying "you must change the battery within xxx minutes". If there was any great danger, SE would put warnings big enough for dumbass Californians to read for fear of getting sued by an irate American 😊

Suspect that the internal "hard disk" is flashrom, so it will last for, well, years.

Mr. JulesG, thanks for the thoughtful compliment, we in California thank you. At leaset if the warning needs to be there, yu may thank our tenacity to make sure SE would put it in BIG PRINT.
