I know it is possible on the Orange network to sign up for a high monthly tariff so you pay little for the phone and then change it to a cheaper one after a month.
Can this be done on other networks?
I'd had already bought a dodgy one from ebay which had to be sent back :x and now i'm on the quest for a good, SAFE deal
p800 for cheap
Yes, you should ask your nearest network provider if they sell Marijuana cheaply, woops, did I just say Marijuana? Was looking @ your green avatar 😃
From where I am you can even get the P800 for free as long as you get a good plan for it.
I was in phones4u the other day they had a special offer on o2 where the phone was free.
on O2 @phones4u is 75x3months then change down
Vodafone gave me a phone for 75 upgrade, plus a half price GPRS contract and shuffled my GSM contract around to drop the price on that slightly.
I think if you sign up for Vodafone Live you save something like 60-80 over the 6 month deal (depending on how much data you ship).
This is slightly separate from the current thread, but the topic is accurate. I just bought a brand new P800 (with T-Mobile service) for USD$500. Has anyone gotten it cheaper yet?

700 euro sim-free in Germany.

... same here, bought mine here in Madrid, Spain for 700 sim free with Vodafone contract a month ago.
As far as I know EU700 is about US$250 more than US$500, so why did you post that as a response to being cheaper? I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything, it just seems dumb.
well, er, 75... (with contract & upgrade) which is about 120 Dollar or Euro. Full price on Vodafone is 299, but you still get the discounts on GPRS service for 6 months.
Vodafone contract phones are always unlocked, so if you are paying $500 for T-Mobile, then you could save $15 and buy a Vodafone one -- I think they are Voicestream in the US?
PS, vex one Euro is one Dollar as near as makes no difference. The German central bank pays a huge amount of European taxpayers money into the world FX pool to make this so.
EUR 700 is therefore 200 [units] more than USD 500. Approximately. 😊
i think i got best deal.
i got my brand spanking new p800 for 300 on upgrade.
i pay 15 a month, with 50 minz free everyday! 😃
