P800 timekeeping

My P800's clock is very poor - it gains about three minutes a day.

I understand that the time should be synced every time the 'phone is connected to my PC but since I did connect last night and it was still 5 minutes fast this morning.

Is there any way of syncing with a network time server over GPRS?

Another problem is that Orange tell me they have no speaking clock - does anyone know if this is true?

even i have the same problem. what can you do? i just hope that this problem can be solved in the next firmware update.

try this, make a task alarm & when it passes, dont delete it. your time will now show properly always, maybe loose a few mins in a week...maybe...mine is perfect now.
it happened by accident but now its perfect.

Alternatively, you could travel to a different country each week.
Then you have to reset the time on a weekly basis on the phone, thus ensuring that you are only ever a couple of minutes out 😃 😃 😃

Well I tried it and I've just checked my 'phone's time. Despite being on the cradle (so it should have synced its time, but I already knew that doesn't work) it has gained four minutes since yesterday evening.

This is a complete PITA as I don't wear a watch.
