Beaming problems

Hey guys, every time I try to send something via IR from my P800 to my computer, it spits out a "could not connect" message - but I can send stuff in the opposite direction with no problems :-?

Anyone have any idea what's going on? 😮

It might have something to do with your settings on your computer. I don't know what OS your running, but this is the trick with Windows XP pro:

1. Go to the control panel
2. Go to "Wireless Connection" (or something, don't know exactly because I have a Dutch version of Windows)
3. You see a checkbox, where you can allow others to send stuff to you. If that's not checked, try checking it, and it will work

Crikey, that was fast! Thanks for the response, Delta.

I'm still using clunky old Win'98 - think my computer would have a seizure if I tried to load anything newer onto it 😮 I've checked the IR settings and everything seems fine - I'm pretty sure it can receive, because my T68 had no problems sending or receiving.

Obviously I haven't got the PC Suite installed (damn you SE) - is it this that's causing my problem?

No, I don't think not having the PC Suite installed is the problem.
It works with me, also without it.

I really wouldn't know than, sorry :-? 😮ops: :-? :-?
