hi this is quite a small problem actually but when i have voicemail my phone rings me back to tell me that i have them! i know that on my old phone you copuld choose between ringing back or a simpl sms! im dying to get it back to the sms alert for voicemail! sumone plz help and tell me how to do this so i no longer get 49 missed calls of the voicemail! (incase u need to know im on vodaphone UK and the voicemail retreieval number is 121)

From the Vodafone UK Website,

There are three ways Voicemail can alert you that you have a new message:

Text Message alert

The phone beeps and an envelope icon is displayed (applies to most phones).
A text message tells you how many new messages you have and to dial 121 followed by SEND to pick them up. This is useful for times when you do not wish to be disturbed by your phone ringing.

Voice Alert and deliver message
This is the default. Voicemail will call you when you have a new message. A recorded voice will tell you how many messages are waiting and then play them back to you.

Voice Alert
Voicemail will call you, a recorded voice will tell you that you have new messages and to dial 121 followed by SEND to pick them up.

To choose how you would like to be notified of new messages:

Dial 121 followed by SEND
Press 1 for the main menu
Dial 43
Then choose only one of the following three options:
Press 2 to select Text Message alert
Press 3 to select Voice Alert and deliver message
Press 4 to select Voice Alert

Enjoy 😉
