Pcsuite 1.4.2

Thanks for posting this! Of course, I still can not get it to sync, but it seems to be a little closer now -- lol (i'm crying on the inside).

The link failed for me, and the software doesn't seem to be listed on the official downloads page yet...

The official pages show 1.3.1 but when you click to download the product, the new version comes up instead...

They are out of sync... which I guess is not a good start for "sync" software... 😃

sorry to hear that Vex the main reasson i posted this here was because i read ur thread and the prob u havin maybe it is time u write ur own sync :angel: i bet if u do a good job loads a p800 owners are willling to buy it from u 😃 i think sony should have looked more to nokia pcsuite now i saw that workin and its dang good compared to the crap we got for the money we payed for it

Well, as a Win'98 user I got all excited & downloaded it, installed it, then was stunned 😮 as my computer took about 10-15 minutes just to start up. System resources were 20% down just for having the privilege of the SE's pride'n'joy software running in the background; then it refused to recognise the phone when I put it in the cradle.

Not surprisingly it got uninstalled straight away. It does make me question wtf SE are up to with this clunky piece of bloatware - especially as (to my, admittedly, relatively untrained) eye the P800 itself is pretty smart in terms of how it manages memory.

I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed & say my prayers in the hope that some kind soul puts together an unofficial sync program - one which doesn't turn my computer into a bucket of treacle :roll:
