Ok.......odd question, but what does the pencil button ACTUALLY do ?

I've only found it to do anything in notepad, and all it does is pop up a menu !?

Thanks
Tony

Other than editing
It can be use to boot your phone in safe mode
It can be use with other 3rd party app to capture image (screen shot)
It can be use to bring up the menu to copy and cut or paste

exactly how do u use the cut/copy/paste function? i can't seem to get it to work (tryed in both writing an sms and in notepad)

when u r writing a message or email, when u press on the pencil icon, u could choose to change between number/apha mode, insert symbols, turn dictionary on/off to cut, copy and past.

To do cut/copy, long press the pencil icon, move the cursor to highlight the word(s) u wanna do cut or copy, then press copy on the left softkey... to paste, long hold pencil icon, and press paste on left softkey.

i oso dunno how to use it to reboot in safe mode...any1?

1. You can also CLEAR text which you've selected with the CLEAR button; (I guess CUT is 'Copy' and then 'Delete'😉

2. Safe Mode apparently is when you press POWER button and hold the PENCIL button all the time.. Not sure though as didn't really work for me since you can't enter your PIN/UNLOCK codes without letting go of it.

it worked here .. maybe because I dont use security PIN?

I hope someone will confirm that with security PIN enabled - boot to safe mode is not applicable or applicable

do u all find the pencil button and the 'c' button a lil bit hard to press? others buttons are very easy to press .. but not these 2
