infra-red controls for Sky ?

i saw the ir controller program thats in the software page, and was wondering.. is there any reason why a program (or an addition to that one) can't be made that will support Sky boxes ? (sky is a digital satellite company based in the uK)

just im picking up my 7650 tomorrow, and in our student union the sky box is easily visible behind the bar... and i think i could have a lot of fun during the football if i could control say... channel up/down and power buttons 😃 confuse the hell out of the bar staff anyway 😃

anyway, props on the forum, i WILL register, just im on a horrible dialup pc atm, and the banners are causing huge slowdowns in navigation, so i'll have to wait till im back on my 10mbit 😊 glad to see theres such a great community for this fone (even tho its got a silly limit on memory.. even my siemens sl42 from last year has 16mb mmc card .. grr!)

but hey, the phones only costing me 30/$50 from orange, so can't complain 😃

PsiNT are releasing new devices for IRRemote all the time. I'm sure the will add Sky Sat soon.

As far as memory is concerned, 4mb is not enough. However I'm running all the apps I need (17) and syill have 1.8mb free. Thanks Sdoubler 😃

It might be a bit more difficult to find remote details, but Not impossible.

yeah? i didn't know that (and used to have sky back when nothing was encrypted)

never heard of the us sky, and sky.com is entirely british "styled", so i presume they run under a different name there?

Don't know where Mr Murdoch bought his decoders from, but if you tell Psiloc the details of the box & IR, they may stick the settings into the next release.

May help things if you have a registered version when you ask the question 😃

I always thought that Murdoch (Aussie) owns Sky TV.

Yes, but I'm not sure where the decoders come from?
